Cardinals, Coffee and a Rainy Day

Hello All!

So I am sad to say that our St. Louis Cardinals lost the World Series but that is okay :) They had a great season so it's okay.

It has been raining for two or three days now and I am ready to have my sunny fall days back. It as been nice that it is not to cold though.

My coffee this morning tastes great...I am not sure why this morning it tastes so good but it really does and it is making me happy :)

One of the radio stations I listen to here in Missouri started playing Christmas music this morning. Now I really like this but also I am wondering why not wait until after Thanksgiving but I can't say to much because the Hubs and I have decided to decorate for Christmas on November 1st (which is tomorrow!) We went to Hobby Lobby this past week and bought stuff for a Christmas wreath and our first stockings together! We were both really excited about that part :)

Anyway, how have your weeks been going? Comment below :)

An Evening Full of Preparing

What an evening! I feel like I have been going non stop till right now. I have finished some homework, made lunches for this next week for the Hubs (he is working out and eating healthy ;) ! I have loaded and unloaded the dishwasher and have completed at least three loads of laundry. I have also vacuumed the living room and hall way.
You know if I wanted to be a house mom, I would not work and not go to school because doing all three at once is a lot of work! I would love for the apartment to be spotless all the time but it just doesn't happen right now.
I also re-wrote my schedule today and it is looking good and not good at the same time. My days are literally full of school from 8am-3pm every day. I have two semesters left of college and one is student teaching which will be a lot of fun (yes a lot of work to but it will be fun) I have never not worked since I was 15 and this next semester may change that....I am not sure yet. We will see what God has planned. I am really relying on him right now to show me what to do with school and the Hubs and mine finances. God is in control and I will trust him alone in these matters.

I just found this picture of my Mister and wanted to share how handsome he is :)

#19 Part 5 The Final One

Questions # 41-50
The final One!

  • If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?
    • My husband and immediate family.
  • Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?
    • The way I feel right now, yes.
  • What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
    • Being alive is just doing your every day thing, nothing exciting. Truly Living is doing things that make you happy, not stressed. Is is not worrying about what will happen tomorrow but doing what you love.
  • When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
    • When you feel that it is time. Go with your gut.
  • If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
    • Because we don't want to disappoint people.
  • What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
    • Eat all I want, all the time and not care.
  • When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
    • I think I saw something on Pinterest a while back and it asked the same questions.
  • What do you love?  Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?
    • I love my husband, and I have been trying to clean and make sure that he works out and make sure he is happy.
  • In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday?  What about the day before that?  Or the day before that?
    • I think I will depending on what happens that day.
  • Decisions are being made right now.  The question is:  Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
    • Good questions. I think that in our society most decisions have to be made for us...example...most people would like to not work and enjoy life but we have to because we need food, a place to live ect... so I think a lot of the time others are making our decisions whether we like it or not.

Living the Rich Life

I found a new website called Matchbook which I guess is a magazine, but I love their website. The only problem is all of their clothes are like way out of my price range :(   I can't help but think one day I will be rich and be able to buy all these things that I want.
I love my life. Don't get me wrong but I really do love expensive things and I want to be stylish and trendy. I want to be able to buy expensive things. I would never be one of those girls that gets all wrapped up in wealth but I just want to be trendy.
I really like Rachel Berry's style from Glee. She is in New York, living her fun life and doing what she wants with her life. I feel that sometime I don't get to just let go and enjoy life. I would really like to do that.

Just thoughts from a girl who likes clothes but doesn't know what to buy...

I am feeling Invincible!

Today I met with my advising counselor to discuss the rest of my college days... I can't believe I am almost done. Usually the meetings last longer because we have classes to talk about and stuff but this one was so short I was shocked! I love my adviser though, she remembers my name and there are a trillion elementary education majors at my school, so that makes me feel good. I do feel invincible though! I am almost done! I think I am in shock....

Fall is in full form this week in Missouri! YAY! The leaves are turning pretty colors and it is cool, which I love! I started crocheting a blanket like last summer and I never finished it but I realized that I could turn it into an infinity scarf! and it looks great if I say so myself :)

This Sunday I am taking the Hubs and we are going to the pumpkin patch...I have told him twice and he doesn't remember so we are going to have to work on his memory!

Anyway life feels pretty good right now :)

How are you doing?

P.S. I added an Instagram slideshow on the right hand side of my blog! I love it :)

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and Road Trips

YES!  I have found a another new Starbucks drink that I love. The salted caramel hot chocolate, which has no coffee so it would be perfect for night time before bed :) this new drink and the White Chocolate Pumpkin Latte are perfect!
This weekend I have off of school Thursday and Friday, so like a good, responsible person I am working Thursday but Friday the hubs and I are taking off to see his family! Yay! I can't wait to see them all again. I also love road trips with the hubs because we get to talk and sing and dance in the car for...8 hours...hmmmm, I said road trips were fun but they are very long. We are thinking about leaving when he gets off tomorrow but that would mean getting on the road at 8 PM, and then driving 8 hours so I am not sure what we are going to do.

Anyway, What do you love about road trips????

This Tuesday is My Monday

Well friends, I am having a rough start to my day :( I  know so sad!
Woke up to having a dream about someone I never want to see again but keeps haunting my dreams. ( not good.) Started crying for some reason (before I even got out of bed! WHAT????) Drove to work and pretty much this handicap person could not drive so I almost got in an accident at 6:40 am. (and it is still dark this early in the morning, by the way.) and I just spilled coffee on me....awesome....

I am praying my day gets better friends!
If you think of me send up a little prayer :)

Love,
~Alysse

#19 Part 4

Part 4 Question #'s 31-40

  • At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
    • This past Monday when my husband made me dinner and danced with me, the dancing was almost better than on my wedding day.
  • If not now, then when?
    • Isn't that the question. Why not do it now...well because of $$$ or time.
  • If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
    •  Nothing
  • Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?
    • Nope
  • Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
    • Because there is a devil out there that wants to cause lose and destruction.
  • Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
    • Not all the time, I think that there are grey area's out there, but that is why you have to listen to your spirit and pray.
  • If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?
    • No. I would not quit my job, (technically I haven't started the job that I want for my whole life.) but I still would not quit my job. I want to be a teacher and teach kids.
  • Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
    • I think I would rather have less work, (this is how I feel right now) because right now I have school and work and being married so I would like to have less work.
  • Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?
    • Yes, I feel like I live the same day every day. (this is sad :(
  • When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?
    • I don't know.
