Whole30 Day 3

Today I woke up late so I didn't have breakfast, and I went to lunch with my gram at Panera today and had a salad (not sure if it was all healthy) but some of it had to be.
B: None
L: Panera Thai Salad
PM Snacks: Guacamole and sweet potato chips, and cashews and Peppermint Tea (no sugar! so sad...)
D: Roast with sweet potatoes, carrots, and yellow squash
I also got this which does not have sugar in it! It is really yummy! Not sure if it exactly fits with the Whole30 but it works for me :)

P.S. Cravings of chocolate and bread have not left! Ugh.

Whole30 Days 1-2

Today was super hard, only because I did not have enough snacks and I babysat all day long! Of course the little girl I was watching wanted cheez it's and oreos and all the things I can't have. But it will be worth it.
I made a Menu first thing. and it has really helped keep us on track
Egg muffins for breakfast
DAY1
Breakfast: 2 egg muffins and carrots
Lunch: Cilantro chicken wraps and strawberries
PM Snack: Strawberries and almond butter
Dinner: (so yummy) Hamburger patty with guacamole sweet potato chips and roasted zucchini and squash
Netflix has new Doctor Who episodes!!!!
DAY 2
B: no pict- Banana
L: no pict- Hamburger meat, zucchini and squash, and strawberries
PM Snack: Flash frozen fruit, smoked almonds
Dinner: Bacon, eggs and some of a mango

Day two was also hard because I was babysitting again, so I wasn't at home to eat snacks and what not. The Flash Frozen fruit was really good surprisingly, almost sweet in a way. It is definitely good to have lots of snacks, which has helped my husband. We are craving all the other food we can't have right now. I really want some carbs like breadsticks and pizza. Oh well we will feel better after this, I just know it!

Cliffs of Moher

On Thursday of our trip we drove to Doolin, which is a little town (I mean little.) just four miles from the Cliffs of Moher. It was a very, very, very scary drive with very narrow roads. The town was super cute and was kind of touristy just because it was so close to the Cliffs. We decided to go eat at the only open pub which was great. There was live music and really great food (which I was surprised a lot but pubs have AMAZING food!) We ate and then Kiel and I headed to bed early.

Friday we went to the cliffs and I bought an awesome hunter green sweater made of Irish wool (a little touristy but it will last me a life time and it turns out I got a good deal on it! YAY me!) We then explored the Cliffs which were amazing and breathtaking, have a look!
All that is the town of Doolin

This was where I got my sweater! Kind of cool right, like little Hobbit holes!

this place was just a walk down from the Cliffs, it was also very beautiful

I love to say that none of these pictures are doctored in any way. This really was how green the grass was! It was truly beautiful! If you ever go to Ireland it does cost a bit to see the Cliffs but its paying for parking and there is a lot of walking!

Whole30

Well we are going to do it! The Whole30, starting Monday Kiel and I are going to do it. We bought some essentials today, including Coconut Oil, veggies, sweet potatoes and grass-fed meat!
Here we have Ghee which is the only type of "butter" you can use. The stuff in the white container is Almond Butter, fresh stuff from Mama Jeans. A local health food store. There is a machine that just grinds up the almonds. We can have coconut milk but only the stuff in the can. They said we can use Almond flour but we decided to try Coconut flour and see how it goes (coat chicken or fish with it). Anyway I am really going to try and post everyday the stuff that I eat.

I can't wait to start!

Cahir Castle

So this is one of the castles we went to, actually on our last day which was a Saturday. The castle was really cool and damp and really what a castle in Ireland should be :) It was renovated in the 1800's but it still had its medieval charm!

I was standing on top of one of the walls of the castle

Kiel with the thing that lets the portcullis down

Cahir Castle was really amazing and a lot of fun. If you go to Ireland, check it out :)
