Speedy Saturday

The Hubs had a lot to do with this post including the title lol He had an uncle pass away yesterday morning so yesterday was a bit tough so he is going home this next weekend without me to be with his family.
Yesterday we did a lot and it did feel like a speedy Saturday! When you work all week the weekend becomes more special but it also seems to fly by quicker.
Farmers Market!
Another booth
We just renovated the Farmers Market to be bigger with a more shaded area and it is much nicer.
We also went to Hobby Lobby and checked out the Christmas stuff :) I fell in love with all the woodland creatures found here!
We also enjoyed some Pineapple Whip! Love this stuff
I know this looks like an agonizing face but it is actually his "Oh my goodness, this stuff is good!" face :)
Zeus also got a backpack! He looks so good in it!
I mean how cute is this face?????

This weekend was packed but I love spending time with Kiel and Zeus. At this moment Zeus is all up in my face trying to read this post. I love this guy.

Anyway Happy Sunday friends :)

  • Design Sponge found this super cute room. I love the simplicity of it and I always think flowers are a good idea!
  • Lee Pace! as Thranduil in The Hobbit movies. This guy is so handsome! Like for reals.
  • Wilton  has outdone themselves. I LOVE these woodland animal cakes! They are amazing and so cute. I love owls, foxes and hedgehogs so these were just...the best.
  • Chics Sprinkles found this house in Charleston, South Carolina and I love it. The blue and white contrast, the double level house, the simplicity and the balcony! p.s. the iron fence in the foreground is amazing also :)
Happy Saturday friends! I am off to run some errands and maybe the farmers market :)

Fashion Forward: red and blue

Hey friends! Long time no talk...I know life has been fun and busy lately.
Today I was suppose to have recess duty but in Missouri it got well over 95 degrees so we could not take the kiddos outside :( so I wore a light red shirt and my blue pants..very patriotic I noticed later.
My husband took these picts (he is getting better!) and we was talking to me telling me to act sassy and "work it girl"
Normal face
My take on a "sassy face"
Hey guess what! My plants are still alive! Cilantro didn't make it but my other plants did! Yay me!
I was one of the last people at the school today and it made me so proud. I love school and I am super amazingly blessed to be where I am at this student teaching semester. I can't believe how God opens doors. I am ready for my Friday but also looking forward to seeing the kiddos for the third day in a row!

Here is to amazing teachers who touch lives! Cheers :)

This past weekend was so busy! I went to the school this past Thursday and Friday and had a blast! I am so excited I am student teaching where I am. This first picture is of my hair Before school started...
This picture is after the school day! My hair was toast lol Thank you recess duty!
This was my second day outfit, not my favorite but I was in a hurry. It was cooler than my first day outfit which was super warm.
This weekend I had a mini vacation with my mom and sister as well as my cousin and aunt. We had such a good time and go to hang in a hot tub!
Last nights sunset was amazing! The colors were great and I don't think this picture does a good job showing that. The yellows, pinks and blues were just breath taking.

I also got gifts for my sister and mother in law this weekend! Christmas shopping started already. BOOM! :)

Happy weekend friends!

Fashion Forward: Hair

Well everyone after reading Ooh La La I have figured out that I need to be taking care of my body and skin, starting from the inside out. So today I spent some extra time on myself and used lotion after the shower and let my hair air dry so I don't fry it. I have to say I love taking some extra time for myself.

I also have decided to start doing more hair styles and not being so lazy with my hair! I found these wonderful ladies on YouTube who have their channel called Luxy Hair! The styles are super easy and I love them! Check out these videos!

Running Late Hairstyles!

How to: Perfect Low Bun

And the Summer Perfect Ponytail!

Check out their YouTube channel because it is amazing and so easy, most of the videos are under 5 minutes!

Happy Hair friends,

Ooh La La!

Yesterday the Hubs and I were very bored and we are low on $$$ right now so we decided to head to the library! Library=Free
I found this book by Jamie Cat Callan about her trip to find out how the French woman have so much class. I am loving this book so far! I am already on chapter 9. It is a pretty easy read but has some great advice from French women about how to feel beautiful everyday. Here they are...
  1. Find a fashion mentor: Someone who can help you, who you think has great style and someone who will be honest with you.
  2. Pick a color: Everyone has that color they have loved since they were little. Mine is Blue but a dark deep blue. I am going to try and get out of my comfort zone and go with more purple! Change it up every once in a while.
  3. "Prendre soin de soi" Take care of oneself: Take care of yourself, put on lotion everyday, wash your face at night. Do things that are good for your body.
  4. Get a massage!: I really like this one but I still have never had one. Also eat less, walk more, do yoga and enjoy your body.
  5. Find ways to take pleasure without guilt: What I got from this one is the French women "don't overindulge, and so they don't feel guilty. They don't feel guilty, so they don't overindulge and because they don't overindulge, they don't feel guilty." My overindulgence is Starbucks, if I drink it less than I can indulge it on occasions without feeling guilty.
  6. Throw a dinner party and have a Secret Garden moment: Throwing a dinner party lets you show off a little and have you the center of attention because you are the hostest. This will help you feel good about yourself. A Secret Garden moment is one where you don't worry and just enjoy where you are in the moment, whether your in a cab looking out the window day dreaming or in a garden having quit time.
  7. Create a look book: or in todays world Pinterest! Your obsessions are clues to your style profile! I have a board that is called Things that I enjoy and I only pin things that catch my eye (most of it is teacups lol)
  8. Clothing has a language and a desire all its own: Dress how you want people to see you but also what makes you comfortable. (this one is a bit new to me so I may re-read this chapter)
There are 17 chapters so I will have a part two! Come back to check it out

I love re-inventing myself!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday all! I know it is late, well at least for me but I finally have some time to tell you about my day!
This morning I printed out a ton of stuff for school! I absolutely love my dividers and labels made my myself :)
So Kum & Go has all drinks any size for $1 so the Hubs gets us 52 oz each....Yup and I drank about half. #Dr.PepperLove
A while ago we got a chalk board wall decal from Target and so I painted my $5 WalMart mirror white and added the decal and BAM cute and cheap chalk board
My sister came over and helped me pick out student teaching clothes and so we made fruit pizza! Loved it so much!
This guy has stolen my heart! Zeus is a sweet thing and always keeps me laughing. We have had him almost five months already! I can't believe it.

My Friday ended up being really great, it was off to a rocky start but ended with some sissy time and a fruit pizza, you can't beat that!

Happy Friday Friends!

Fashion Forward

Today was so great! It was meet the parent/teacher night at my school and everyone was so great. I believe you really have to have a good attitude about every person you meet and cannot make judgements. I decided to wear my new pants from Coldwater Creek that closed in our mall and so I got super nice pants for like $11! and I have had this purple top from Charlotte Russe for years.

I also tried this hair style where I use a headband and tuck a few of the front pieces around the headband.
Sorry about the weird right arm lol I don't know what happened :)
Charolette Russe top (had for years)
Coldwater Creek pants (blowout sale $11)
Shoes from Payless
Watch from Charming Charlies

Today was so great and school starts next week! Hopefully I can come early and see how things are going. Here comes the student teaching life!

Weekend Review

Hey friends! This week has been Crazy and this next week will be super exciting because I am starting to go to school stuff for student teaching! I am so pumped! So this past weekend I feel like I have done a lot but maybe I haven't, check out what I have done :)
My mom found these! They are seriously the most amazing things Ever and she got them at WalMart!
Salted Caramel Ice Cream...not as good as Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate though!
I got this lovely notebook at Target! I am going to write in it for student teaching as my personal journal

Lay's is having another competition! The Mango Salsa gets my vote I think. The Bacon Mac & Cheese is also very good!
The hubs and I last night at my parents enjoying family time.

I love family time and usually the weekend is when I get it! My mother and I went through some old picts and I got a little bit of baby fever. But I don't want one yet. Life is good right now and I am so pumped for this week. Be looking for some more fashion picts!
